Reincarnation #4

I am no longer at risk of falling into a poison strong enough to blind my eyes and send me into immortality. I am alive now, again. I rose from the dead, dirt crawling out from underneath my fingernails as I dragged my own body along the sidewalk. At the end of the road is a moving truck filled with an assortment of the few things worthy of my reawakened eyes. A key sits on the driver’s seat cushion, glaring up at me menacingly, saying “here you go, and you may fuck it up again.” And I know that I might and I actually probably will, but I put the key in the ignition and prepare myself for orientation. You know, sticking my nose here, looking out the dusty blinds.

We don’t have just one chance on this planet. We keep dying and coming alive, dying and coming alive.. until you die for good. So dust yourself off for those reincarnations and make them the best that you can. New beginnings are beautiful, despite the trail of dirt behind your forward-moving feet.
